In this issue:
Signs of Safety continues to gather momentum in Coventry. From July 2018 - March 2019, we have trained around 700 practitioners from across multi-agency children's services in Coventry. This is excellent news and shows the commitment and enthusiasm from all partner agencies to become familiar and embed SofS within their practice. Opposite is Jo Woodfield and Lyn Parsons (health) co-presenting as a recent event. Partnership working at it's best.

I spent some time within our MASH service recently. I dip sampled some cases and spent time with MASH colleagues going through contacts and referrals.
It was really pleasing to see the good Signs of Safety practice being used within the MASH service, and how this is influencing their decision making and planning.
Good work MASH.

50 practitioners from across multi-agency services in Coventry attended the recent five day Practice Lead training. Feedback was excellent from those who attended, including our DCS John Gregg who reflected "I thought the last five days have been really good, if not somewhat challenging". 'Next Steps' is to put this learning into practice - remember '70-20-10'. 10% is the training, 20% is the learning / reflection and 70% is the doing - practice, practice, practice!

The Practice Leads forum has had to take a break over the past couple of months due to capacity difficulties.
So, it's back and will be re launched on 25 April. As we now have over 70 PL's in Coventry, I'm hoping there will be a good turnout and I'm sure it will be an interesting session.
This will be the forum to showcase good practice and share learning. I would welcome offers from PL's to present and showcase the excellent SofS practice here in Coventry.

We are holding our own Coventry Signs of Safety Gathering during Practice Week this year. There will be presentations from across partnerships and also from Young People here in Coventry. Once the date is released, please book on. It will be very memorable. (The photo to the left is the Dublin Gathering last year which i was lucky enough to attend. I'm the one 8 rows behind Eileen Munro, 6 rows to the left, towards the middle and behind the person in the brown cardigan).

Reminder to send me any examples of Signs of Safety practice. This could be mapping, worry statements, 3 houses, words and pictures, appreciative enquiries. I'm still in the process of creating a shared library where we can all access examples for our learning.
