The S175 audit will be the same format (Enable) as last year and the inputs from earlier this year will still be visible. Schools will be able to edit existing inputs to update them to give an accurate picture of their safeguarding provision. The audit has been designed to support schools in showing that they have sound, robust procedures in place, identifies areas for development and supports reporting to governors/trustees, Ofsted and the Local Authority on how their duties under Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 and KCSIE (2018) are being carried out.
Please complete the audit or delegate this to an appropriate member of staff (DSL) so this is completed in time (reminders will follow).
If the person completing this last academic year has left the school or college, please inform Abigail Jones as soon as possible to ensure the relevant person can log in.
Any queries about this can be directed to Abigail Jones (LSCB Quality Assurance Manager) – Abigail.jones@coventry.gov.uk.

The Fly the Flag project has been designed to mark the recent 70th anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights. The aim is for children in schools to explore human rights - school packs for all keystages are available for you to download.
The second part of the project is to get schools and other organisations to literally and/or digitally fly the flag (designed by Ai Weiwei to mark the anniversary) during the last week of June this year - and then again every December 10th on the anniversary of the Declaration.
In Coventry, Fly the Flag is slotting into Coventry 2021's wider Human Rights project (called #HumansOfCov), which is running throughout 2019. As part of this project, we are hoping to organise something special in Coventry to mark the Fly the Flag week. Planning is in the early stages, please contact humansofcov@coventry2021.co.uk if you would be interested in taking part.
If you have any comments, please let us know by contacting lucy.lambert@coventry.gov.uk.
