Let's Ride Coventry on 5 August

HSBC UK Let's Ride Coventry - Sunday 5 August

Coventry is hosting a free street festival with a difference this Sunday. See the city from the saddle on a traffic free circuit including a ride through the Cathedral ruins and around the Ring Road. There are lots of free activities for all the family from 10am - 3pm in the Festival Zones at Broadgate and in Millennium Place, plus street food from Digbeth Dining Club opposite the Cathedral.

The traffic free route is open to ride as many times as you like from 11am - 3pm. You don’t have to go the 6km distance – just do as much or as little as you want. And you don’t need to be an experienced cyclist – as there's a 1km option too. Bikes for all the family are available to hire on the day too in Broadgate with ID and there are Wheels for All adapted bikes on Earl Street by the Council House. Find out more and sign up at www.letsride.co.uk/events/coventry

Ten more things to do:

  1. Get a free bike service from Shimano Tech mechanics
  2. Personalise your own bib (pick up one by the start or in Broadgate)
  3. Pedal your own smoothie or make your own spin art
  4. Watch Danny Butler's Extreme Mountain Bike Stunt Show
  5. Have go on the Go-Ride skills course
  6. Find out more about local guided rides
  7. Challenge your friends on the Sir Chris Hoy Sprint Zone or Wattbike Challenge
  8. Grab some street food from Digbeth Dining Club in University Square
  9. Try a tandem from VISTA in Millennium Place
  10. Learn circus skills and listen to the band in Council House Square.
