Health Profiles 2017

Public Health England recently published their 2017 Health Profiles for local areas - view Coventry's Health Profile. The Health Profiles data tool includes a number of ways to view the statistics that provide detail into overall health in Coventry. 

Some of the key up-to-date insights for Coventry:

  • The rate of police recorded violent crime in Coventry is lower than the England average and lower than the average for similar areas. However the number of violent crimes has been modestly increasing recently.
  • The number of new diagnoses of sexually transmitted infections (STI) in Coventry is on a downward trend, although the rate remains higher than the England average.
  • The estimated diagnosis rate of dementia in Coventry is low; locally we are officially diagnosing a relatively low number compared to how many people are expected to have dementia.
