Cycle Speedway Returns

Enjoy the exciting sport of Cycle Speedway at Hearsall Common.  Coventry Cycle Speedway Club are back in competitive action this month: 

  • Sunday 12 March - Astley & Tyldesley - 2pm 
  • Sunday 19 March - Newport - 2pm

Magic Mile in Longford Park - 19 March

Take it easy on a 1 mile traffic free circuit around Longford Park which is suitable for all ages and abilities.  You can ride a bike, skate, scoot, run, jog or walk. 

The free monthly Magic Mile is hosted by the Friends of Longford Park and starts at 10am by the car park off Windmill Road, CV6 7BE.

Bike Recycling Open Day - 25 March

Get a free bike check, security marking and the chance to buy an affordable recycled bike at Langley House Trust's Bike Recycling open day at the Food Bank Warehouse, Binley CV3 2NT from 10am - 3pm on Saturday 25 March.  

Bike donations are also welcome.

City Centre Dr Bike - 30 March

Get your bike ready for spring with a free check from Dr Bike and security marking by the Safer Travel Police. Thursday 30 March 12 - 2pm outside the Council House. 

 Dr Bike has 25 free smartphone handlebar mounts to give away, which turn your phone into a cycle computer and Sat Nav with the Bike Citizens app. 

Hereward College hosts Wheels for All

Wheels for All Coventry's inclusive cycling sessions continue at Hereward College on Saturdays 5-7pm until 14 April. (No session on 25 March).  A range of adapted cycles are available to ride including tandems, trikes and hand cycles. (£4 per session).

Tandem Pilots Wanted

Coventry Visually Impaired and Sighted Tandem Association invites experienced and new tandem pilots to take part in club rides.  Free training is provided and the club runs regular rides of 10 - 30 miles every second Tuesday evening from April to September. Email VISTA or visit vista.org.uk for more information.
