Government confirms funding
Government has confirmed over £650million funding for a Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority, with a Mayoral Investment Fund of £21.7million per annum over the next 30 years.
The funding, with £10.85million to be received in the first year until a Mayor is elected in May 2027, is subject to the three councils approving the establishment of a Mayoral Combined Authority.
Councillors set to vote on moving forward with devolution
