Construction work on first phase of Winsford town centre regeneration now complete

Construction work on the first phase of the Cheshire West and Chester Council led regeneration of Winsford town centre, is now complete.

Kier Construction began work on the Council’s £22 million project in Spring 2023, funded by the Council and the Government’s Future High Street Fund. It is the biggest investment in the town centre shopping area since the 1960s, made possible by the Council’s acquisition of the site in 2018.

Tackling the sticky issue of chewing gum in Chester city centre

A grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force, administered by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, will help the Council clean up gum and reduce gum littering in Chester city centre.

From the Earth to the Stars: new arts trail celebrating Winsford this summer

The Council has developed an arts trail in Winsford with local schools and groups in a celebration of the town and local community.  From the Earth to the Stars will launch on 21 June, when residents and visitors will be invited to explore the art trail, find the artworks and take part in exciting creative workshops in the town centre.
