Join the Conversation and help develop the borough's future plan and priorities

The Council is inviting residents and local organisations to join a conversation to help shape a new plan for the Borough.

Building on the approach of the current Council Plan, the new plan will bring local people and local organisations together around shared priorities, so everyone can play their part.

Council takes action to address projected £10.8 million overspend

At their meeting next week, the Council's Cabinet Members are being provided with an update on the budget for this year, which forecasts a potential overspend of £10.8 million.

Wirral Way 50th anniversary - Vote for your favourite marshes bird

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Wirral Way, the Council has joined forces with the RSPB to run a competition to discover your favourite marshes bird.

The partnership is asking residents to vote for their favourite bird from a shortlist of five. The list has been chosen by the RSPB and is based on the frequency of sightings and the bird's unique story.

The Exchange - Hidden Stories from the Covid-19 Pandemic

Inspired by old telephone exchanges, 'The Exchange' is an immersive audio installation, designed to hold a collection of conversations. Over the past year, Filament Projects has worked in partnership with Vivo Care Choices service users and staff to explore their individual and collective experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Council’s clamp down on dog fouling

The Council is clamping down on dog fouling this month with extra patrols.

Enforcement officers are visiting dog fouling hotspots right across the borough to tackle irresponsible dog owners who do not pick up after their dogs.
