Drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Chester Cathedral

NHS ad reads 'COVID-19 vaccination pop-up clinics - no need to book just walk in'

A pop-up clinic offering first, second and booster vaccines will be held at Chester Cathedral from Wednesday, 15 December, to Tuesday, 21 December, from 10am to 5pm every day apart from Thursday, 16 December, when the clinic will run from 11am to 6pm. No appointment is necessary to attend this clinic.

£2 million funding to be distributed to local Climate Emergency projects

The Council has supported 21 projects through a £2 million Climate Emergency Fund this financial year.  The second round of the fund will provide a financial boost for local organisations and Council projects that can reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, reduce litter and improve biodiversity.

Council's Cabinet has agreed a policy to ban trail hunting on Council land

The Council’s Cabinet has agreed a policy on trail hunting which takes into account the threat posed by hunts to animals and the environment.  

A cross-party working group was established to better understand the activity of trail hunting, to review the local evidence and the legal framework surrounding trail hunt activities.

Overnight works on St. Martins Way Chester 13 to 17 December

As part of the current works in the city centre to reinstate the highway following the construction of a new surface rainwater drain, and to reduce the impact on traffic during the day, overnight resurfacing works and road closures will take place between 13 and 17 December.
