Councillor Lisa Denson has been invested as the Mayor of Ellesmere Port during a recorded ceremony at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall. Councillor Gareth Gould is her Deputy.

Cheshire Dance

Cheshire Dance is running some online sessions throughout lockdown and maybe beyond.

  • Dance drop-in online
    A class for children aged 7-11 every Wednesday, 4pm-5pm
  • Keep on dancing online
    An energetic class for active older adults who feel confident standing and moving without support.
  • Live well dance online
    A virtual class for older adults. Enhance strength and balance, encourage mobility and improve co-ordination.
  • Move with us
    Creative movement for carers. Gentle creative movement sessions to help carers to feel good in both body and mind. Join them for some 'me time' or attend with those you care for.
  • Moving matters
    Discover new ways to breathe, relax, move and express yourself. An online wellbeing workshop that gives you the space and time to help you feel better in yourself.

All Work Zones are closed to the public. Mentoring appointments and registrations are still available online and by phone for existing customers and other unemployed residents looking for employment support.

The Work Zones are offering a job matching service for employees who have recently been laid off or had their hours reduced by the coronavirus outbreak, and are looking to transfer temporarily to a new job.
