The Council is taking steps to ensure that plans are in place to respond to Brexit. Following the work of our local cross-party Policy Commission, Cheshire West and Chester is recognised as a national example in effective planning and the Brexit Officer Working Group is meeting on a regular basis to consider and plan for a broad range of implications at an operational level.
This includes the potential short-term impact on local businesses, Council funding, social care, Trading Standards, transport and many other areas. Planning will continue on an increasingly frequent basis to make sure the Council, and the borough as a whole, is as well prepared as possible over the coming weeks and months.
