M53 between junctions 7 and 12 – Road marking renewal work
Phase 1 - M53 between junctions 11 and 12
This is due to start from 7 October 2019 for approximately one week. Work will take place on both sides of the carriageway under a number of phases. For safety purposes, overnight closures of the M53 between junctions 11 and 12 will be in place between the hours of 9pm and 5am.
Phase 2 - M53 between junctions 7 and 11
This will start once phase 1 is complete and will be in place for approximately four weeks. Work will take place on both sides of the carriageway under a number of phases. For safety purposes, overnight closures of the M53 between junctions 7 and 11 will be in place between the hours of 9pm and 5am.
During both phases, associated slip road closures are also required, and localised signed diversion routes will be in place. Please note that only one side of the carriageway will be closed at a time.
While we always aim to work to the programme, unforeseen circumstances may mean slight changes occur at short notice. Every effort will be made to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum. However, these works will inevitably generate some noise and disruption and we’d like to apologise in advance for any disturbance.

Enforcement Policy
The Council is consulting on proposed changes to its Enforcement Policy. This policy outlines how we will deliver the enforcement functions we have to carry out by law, including those carried out by our Benefits Fraud, Environmental Health, Highways, Licensing, Planning, Parking and Trading Standards professionals.
