Age-friendly Cheshire West

This week has marked a range of events and activities taking place on a local, national and international scale to highlight International Day of Older Persons. We joined leaders across the UK to sign an open letter and pledge our support to combating ageism and talking more positively about later life.

We have also been working with key partners across the borough to create Age-friendly Cheshire West - a network that is proud to be working together to make Cheshire West an age-friendly borough.

Social Butterflies

Celebrations will continue into this weekend on 6 October with 'Silver Sunday', a national day to bring people together, reduce loneliness and celebrate our older community.

A new, exciting project, Social Butterflies, will launch on 6 October, 11am-3pm at Storyhouse which everyone can get involved in. This is a creative community arts project designed to celebrate being an ‘age-friendly’ borough.
