Early Years and Childcare Recruitment video launch
To promote working in Early Years and Childcare, we have worked closely with a few providers in Cheshire East to create a recruitment video. We are excited to share the final versions of the videos which are being launched across Cheshire East social media channels this week.
The videos authentically capture the passion and dedication early years practitioners bring to their roles and showcase careers in early years and childcare in a positive and engaging way.

Families First Education Navigator role
As discussed at the recent Families First launch events, Cheshire East are now looking for talented, passionate professionals to join us in the newly created education navigator role.
As an education navigator, you'll be part of the new Cheshire East Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) or our Integrated Front Door team, playing a vital role in strengthening collaboration between education settings and safeguarding professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to influence practice, improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people, and help shape the future of integrated safeguarding in Cheshire East.
These exciting opportunities will be advertised in the coming weeks at Job Vacancies.
If you're passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and families, thrive in collaborative environments and want to be part of an ambitious and innovative team, we'd love to hear from you.
Checking EYPP
Due to a system upgrade, you are now able to check eligibility for EYPP on the establishment portal.
If you have consent, please complete the guardian details and click ‘perform pupil premium check’. If consent is not ticked and guardian details not entered, you will not see the check button.
We would encourage you to do this as you add new starters, it can also be run on children already on your live register who have the guardian details and consent already entered.
SEN Inclusion funding Autumn term 2026
All SENIF letters have been sent out for July applications. You will start to receive the funding schedules when the autumn term FEEE hours have been added.
Please ensure that the FEEE hours for all children in receipt of SENIF or EHCP funding are entered as soon as possible. Attendance for each child (setting and FEEE hours amount) is checked at the beginning of each term. If a child is expected to attend but does not attend for any reason or FEEE attendance hours are reduced, please alert us as soon as possible to avoid any overpayment.
If you have a child who is deferring school entry and has a completed EHCP please email earlyyearssenhelpline@cheshireeast.gov.uk
