SENCO Network - 24th September 2024 18:30 - 20:00 (Microsoft Teams)
These network sessions are intended to further develop your SENCO's understanding, knowledge and skills. At these meetings there will be opportunities for discussion with other SENCO’s, networking, sharing of effective practice/materials, input from other agencies and updates on new legislation/initiatives. Attendance at each termly network is highly recommended to keep your SEND knowledge up to date.
EYFS - Learning and Development Requirements and Assessment - 25th September 2024 10:00 - 11:30 (Microsoft Teams)
This course will explore Section 1 - ‘The Learning and Development Requirements’ and Section 2 - ‘Assessment’ of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework for group and school-based providers. This training looks at the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and offers useful links and information to take back to the setting when considering curriculum, assessment and Ofsted expectations.
Childcare Grants Briefing - 25th September 2024 13:00 - 14:00 (Microsoft Teams)
Briefing to launch revenue and capital funding to support the National Wraparound Programme and the extended Early Education Entitlements within Cheshire East. The briefing will include information on how providers can prepare their application and the allocation process for the available capital and revenue funding. The funding is intended to create new places and not to sustain existing provision.
Trauma and Attachment in Early Childhood - 25th September 2024 18:00 - 20:00 (Microsoft Teams)
Join us to explore trauma and attachment in early childhood, delivered by an Educational Psychologist. This training will cover attachment theory related to early childhood, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and what they are, the impact of trauma on young children and attachment awareness and trauma informed practice in early years settings.
