This two hour training course aims to provide practical advice to enable practitioners to feel more confident in starting conversations about safeguarding concerns. It will consider parent partnerships, professional curiosity and the practicalities of having difficult safeguarding conversations.
Delivering Small Groups - 4th October 2023 9.30-12 (Teams)
Together with our specialist Speech and Language Therapists you will explore ways to set up small groups focussing on the development of attention and listening skills as well as language skills and vocabulary.
Good Autism Practice - 10th October 2023 9.15-4pm (Oakenclough Family Hub)
This is a module for practitioners who work directly with autistic children in early years settings, and it provides guidance on processes and tools that can help practitioners to implement good autism practice.
What is my behaviour trying to tell you? - 11th and 18th October 2023 1:30 - 3:30pm or 6.30-8.30pm (Teams)
The sessions will explore how we can be curious about behaviours and what might be affecting the child at that given time, build a supportive, appropriate curriculum using the EYFS and development matters as a guide, consider current strategies and approaches to ensure they meet the needs of all children.
