Sense Hub Loughborough open morning

The new Sense Hub Loughborough will be opening in January 2023.  The Hub will be there for anyone needing support with hearing impairments, vision impairments, physical disability, autism and learning disabilities, no matter your age.

The Hub are holding an open day on Tuesday 6th December at Loughborough College sports hall 10am to 12pm.

Public Health Practitioner Apprentice job opportunity

A reminder that our colleagues at Leicestershire County Council are seeking a Public Health Practitioner Apprentice to join the Health Improvement team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an active role in the County’s health improvement team whilst studying for a degree in Public Health at Coventry University.

Loughborough Wellbeing Centre updates

A reminder that there are a number of new activities beginning this week at Loughborough Wellbeing Centre including a Mindfulness & Wellbeing workshop on Mondays 11 to 12pm, and two new Yoga sessions on Thurs 7-8pm and Saturdays 11-12pm.  Take a look at the updated timetable below for details of all activities, or contact admin@loughboroughwellbeing.com

New Tai Chi course in January

Due to popular demand, we have organised a new block of Tai Chi which will start on 11th January at Loughborough Leisure Centre.  The 12-week course will take place from 12-12.45pm and cost just £36.

This course is aimed at beginners, you will continue to progress from week to week so please try to be consistent with your attendance to get the most out of the course. Tai Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. The style will be based around the Yang style 24 form.

The Singing Café and Tea Parties – Thrive project

Thrive is a project run by Leicestershire based charitable organisation Without Walls. Thrive has two community initiatives, The Singing Café and Tea Parties.

There are two Singing Café’s in Charnwood, on Tuesdays at Shepshed Library and Fridays at the Schofield Centre, Loughborough both 10.15 to 11.15am.  There are also cafes across Leicestershire & Derbyshire.  See the poster below and visit their webpages for more info www.thesingingcafe.co.uk/ or call 07875 378 628.
