Did you know you can report fly-tipping via our website?
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of household and trade waste, and it's a criminal offence that can result in unlimited fines and/or five years imprisonment.
We need as much information as possible in order to prosecute someone caught fly-tipping in Charnwood, so any help you can give is very important.
Please remember:
-
Do not disturb the fly-tipped waste - it may contain dangerous items such as: syringes, broken glass, toxic chemicals or other hazardous substances. There may also be evidence that could help identify the culprits.
-
Do visually inspect the waste - it would help us to know what has been fly-tipped and how much. We will also need to know where abouts the waste has been dumped and if it is near water.
