Celebrate VE Day 75 at home
In line with national government guidance, the Council cancelled events due to take place in the Loughborough town centre on Friday May 8 to mark 75 years since the end of World War Two. Many other events across the borough have also had to be cancelled.
The Council is urging residents to still mark VE Day 75 from the safety of their homes on Friday May 8.
This could include making and displaying bunting, putting posters up in your windows or hosting a war time themed tea party at home.

There is a range of national commemorations taking place on VE Day this year including two special programmes on BBC One to mark VE Day 75 which will be shown at 14:45 – 15:45 and 20:00 - 21:10.
