Temporary closure of Loughborough Town Hall and Charnwood Museum
Charnwood Museum statement
We have taken the very difficult decision to temporarily close Charnwood Museum from Wednesday March 18 following the Government’s most recent advice regarding the coronavirus pandemic. The government has advised people to stop non-essential contact with others and to avoid social venues.
We will continually review this decision and reopen as soon as we can.
Our primary concern is the health and wellbeing of everyone who lives, works and visits Charnwood.
Anyone who has booked activities or visits to Charnwood Museum will be contacted directly by staff.
We apologise for any inconvenience and will keep you updated via our website www.charnwood.gov.uk/museum
We will also keep you updated via our social media channels
facebook.com/CharnwoodMuseum and on Twitter @LeicsMuseums. If you have any questions please ask.

Loughborough Town Hall statement
In light of the government advice to people that they should “avoid large gatherings, and gatherings in smaller public spaces such as pubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, bars, clubs, Loughborough Town Hall regrets to announce that it will be closed for three weeks to the public, which will include all performances, events and access to the Sock Gallery.
With this in mind, all performances up to and including April 4, 2020 will no longer be taking place as planned. We are working with show producers and promoters to clarify individual show implications including possible performance rescheduling.
All audiences affected by any cancellations or re-scheduling will be contacted by our Box Office, which will include further instructions on either transferring tickets to a new date, or how to claim a refund.
We will continue to monitor and review national guidance as to whether there will be further closures beyond this date. and we will reopen the Town Hall as soon as we safely can.
The safety and health of our audiences and staff are our number one priority at this time. Please do keep checking back to our social media pages and website for all the latest updates.
