Parents/carers, children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can now browse and scroll through our newly improved Local Offer website.
The Local Offer website is a ‘one stop shop’ for all local SEND advice, guidance, and support services. It has been redesigned and co-produced with SNAP Parent Carer Forum (SNAP PCF), an independent forum of parents and carers of SEND children in Central Bedfordshire, as well as education, health and social care professionals, parents, carers, children and young people with SEND.
As part of the redesign process the Council listened to and incorporated feedback from families and young people to make it more engaging, easier to navigate and to ensure it contains more relevant information.

Bedfordshire Children’s Community Health Services have produced a video detailing the coproduction journey with clinicians and families to develop our Neurodiversity Diagnosis Resource Pack. The DSP is designed to help families of children and young people with neuro difficulties and signpost them to a whole range of resources in a variety of media.

The Central Bedfordshire's Family Information Directory contains lots of information about childcare settings, local and national organisations that offer support and advice, children's centres and local activities in Central Bedfordshire.
As you may be aware, the NDD Pathway was launched in September 2020 after extensive development with all of our partners. The pathway is used by both families and professionals to outline the support available for children and young people with a broad range of neurodevelopmental difficulties.
We always value feedback from families and all of our partners, and as a result the NDD Pathway is reviewed regularly. We have recently added new material and resources to continue supporting families and professionals.
