Raising council tax - have you had your say yet?

With increasing cuts to council funding, we need to raise council tax to help cover the rising cost of delivering services.

Next year we will receive less than half the amount of government grant than this year and by 2019/20 this grant will disappear altogether.

Previously, councils were given extra money for not raising council tax. Now there is an expectation that council tax will be raised to help cover the cost of Adult Social Care and other services.
