If you need to:

• request a rent statement
• request a refund
• order a giro card
• set up a direct debit

While some services are changing, you can still:

• pay your rent as usual
• contact your Housing Officer
• report repairs as normal

We host the national Armed Forces Day at Pembrey Country Park on 27 June with a range of military displays and parade, all day live music, and the RAF parachute display team literally dropping in!  It’s a chance to recognise the Armed Forces with visitors expected from across the Country.

Our housing team will be present on the day, come over to say hello.

Before putting items in your blue recycling bag, please wash them to remove any leftover food or liquid and squash what you can.

Food and liquid residue are one of the main causes of recycling contamination. Taking a moment to wash items helps keep recycling clean and ensures it can be processed properly.

Many items, such as plastic bottles and cartons, can be flattened to save space. However, not everything needs to be squashed. Tins and cans should be rinsed but do not need to be flattened.

With invasive species week taking place from 22^nd to 28^th June we are encouraging our tenants to be plant wise and help protect Carmarthenshire’s wildlife.

Plants bring colour and life to our gardens, improve air quality and support wildlife. However, some non‑native plants can become invasive if they spread beyond garden boundaries, damaging local habitats, waterways and even buildings.

Invasive plants grow quickly and can crowd out native species that local wildlife depends on for food and shelter. They can also clog rivers and ponds, increasing flood risk and harming recreation and local ecosystems. To find out more about some invasive species in our county check out our website.

Carmarthenshire Council tenants can help by following three simple steps:

• Know what you grow – Choose plants suitable for your garden or pond and avoid invasive species.
• Stop the spread – Keep plants contained within your garden and never plant or release them into the wild.
• Compost with care – Dispose of unwanted plants, seeds and roots responsibly, as some cannot be composted safely.

Pond and aquarium plants need extra care, as even small fragments can spread rapidly in rivers and lakes.

By being “Plant Wise”, you can enjoy your garden while helping to protect Carmarthenshire’s natural environment for future generations.
