 Join the sustainable tourism forum
The most successful Tourism destinations are those where the private, public and community sectors operate together, sharing insight, discussing challenges and opportunities and shaping future strategies.
We are now inviting representatives from our local tourism businesses and organisations to join our new Sustainable Tourism Forum. Members will meet at least twice a year to provide feedback, raise sector issues and strengthen two-way communication with the Council. Volunteers from accommodation, attractions, hospitality, events and retail are all needed alongside County Council and community people.

Carmarthenshire making National headlines
Our Sisterhood marketing campaign continues to generate national media coverage, with a whole page feature in one of the UK’s top selling newspapers The Mail on Sunday on 22 February. With a paid circulation of over 550,000, the article worth £40,000 in advertising comes after arranging the visit of their journalist and mentions all the local businesses that worked with us on the visit.
Last week we welcomed travel writers on commissions from The Guardian Travel section & Countryside Walking magazine with amazing feedback on the experiences, welcome and quality of offer. We can't wait to see the published articles and great thanks to all partners who hosted and helped showcase the the county.
