The STAR Tenant Satisfaction Survey closes soon and we want your views on the service we deliver.

The survey has been sent to everyone living in a Council owned home in Carmarthenshire and asks questions relating to your Housing Officer, anti-social behaviour, value for money, the repairs service, quality of your home and more.

Carmarthenshire County Council has launched Tim Tacluso Tai, a new maintenance and cleansing service which focuses on providing general maintenance, repairs and cleansing services to Council owned estates and homes.

Tim Tacluso Tai will carry out small scale general maintenance and cleansing tasks to maintain and improve the appearance of Council owned homes and estates as well as supporting the Council’s Housing Repairs service with completing small scale repairs.

Your local Housing Officer can provide a range of support and advice to you. This includes support on your rights and responsibilities as a Council tenant, financial support, advice and guidance on paying your rent and help with changes to your Occupation Contract (tenancy agreement).

We also have teams dedicated to tackling anti-social behaviour in Council owned homes/communities and a team who deal with estate and community matters.

Having your home’s boiler serviced every year is important to keep you and your home safe.

It’s important that we can access your home to service your boiler, even in the summer months when it’s not being used as much. The service allows Westward (who carry out all boiler servicing and maintenance on our behalf) to check that the boiler is working safely and as efficiently as possible. An un-serviced boiler may use more fuel and cost you more to run.

As part of the service, the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your home will also be checked.

Refusing access to your home may result in us having to force access. This could result in a £284 charge to cover the costs of forcing entry to the property.

We don’t want to do this, but as your landlord we are legally required to service all heating appliances in your home.
