Have your say - STAR Tenant Satisfaction Survey
The STAR Tenant Satisfaction Survey is now live and has been sent to every resident living in a Council owned home in Carmarthenshire.
We want to know what you think of the housing services we provide, including:
- The quality of your home
- Repairs service
- Grounds maintenance
- Tenancy support
- Communication
- The neighbourhood
The survey has been sent out on our behalf by Acuity.

Please make every effort to complete the survey and include as much information as possible. These results really do help us to plan our work, shape the service and improve.
The deadline to complete the survey is 11 July.
Keeping you and your home safe
Annual boiler servicing is an essential part of keeping you and your home safe. We must also carry out regular electrical safety testing.
It’s important that we are able to access your home to carry out this work. If you are unable to make the appointment provided, please let us know.
Carbon monoxide detectors are installed in any room with a boiler or solid fuel appliance (such as wood burners) and gas cookers. The alarms are very important and will detect carbon monoxide leaks.
Known as the ‘silent killer’, carbon monoxide has no smell and can cause serious illness or death. Please do not remove or tamper with the alarms, they have been installed for your safety.
If you experience an issue with your boiler or carbon monoxide alarm, please tell us. Call 01267 234567 or report a repair online.

Anti-Social Behaviour Team protects homes and communities
Our Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Team continues to tackle ASB in Council owned homes and estates, recently taking action against two properties in Llanelli following repeated offences.
The action taken includes:
- A 90 day Closure Order (to stop someone from entering a particular property without specific permission from the court)
- An Outright Possession Order (to remove a resident and end their tenancy)
If you are concerned about anti-social behaviour in relation to a Council owned home, please report this on our website or call 01267 234567.

Managing grasslands across Carmarthenshire
Carmarthenshire County Council is gradually changing how we manage grassland across the county, including in some areas of our housing estates to support wildflowers and help pollinators to thrive.
The new Grassland Management Policy for Pollinators aims to increase flower-rich grasslands by adjusting grass cutting scheduled and cutting/removing grass to reduce the need for frequent mowing. Trees, hedgerows and flowers have also been planted as part of the policy.
Where needed, regular mowing will still take place, with one metre strips also maintained along paths and roadways.
Please let your Housing Officer know if you can help to identify any areas that may be suitable for reduced mowing or tree planting.
These changes form part of work to tackle Nature and Climate Emergencies declared by Carmarthenshire County Council and Welsh Government and have received funding from Welsh Government’s Local Places For Nature Programme.
