 Carmarthenshire welcomes The Guardian
During April we were honoured to host travel writer Matt Collins who is the Head Gardner at the Garden Museum London. Matt was here to visit our stunning gardens and to write a feature for The Guardian newspaper. Ty Mawr Country House was his base while exploring our gardens and to sample some of the very best places to eat within the county. The upcoming article will highlight why Carmarthenshire is the perfect destination for garden enthusiasts. It will focus on what makes this corner of Wales so unique and why it’s a must-visit for anyone passionate about gardening. The article will be published in the Saturday Magazine on 24 May so be sure to grab yourself a copy. Stay updated by following our socials and feel free to share the article with your guests!
Huge thank you to all the businesses involved in making this visit happen. If you’re interested in getting involved with PR visits, please contact Elinos.

Thanks to the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the 10 Towns project, and the incredible talent of local artist JenksArt, Carmarthenshire’s rural market towns have been transformed into open-air galleries.
These vibrant, large-scale street murals bring our communities to life — weaving together myth, history, and local charm. From fire-breathing dragons and noble knights to rustic farm scenes and majestic castles, each mural tells a unique story rooted in Welsh culture.
Seven breath-taking murals are already up and waiting to be discovered — with three more set to be revealed this late spring!
