Cost of living advice available for everyone
Your Housing Officer is here to support you and can provide cost of living advice, helping you to identify support that you may be entitled to. Please contact your local housing officer for more information.
We also have a specialist team of Hwb Advisors who can provide tailored packages of support to ensure that you receive the advice, services and money you are entitled to. They can help to assess if you’re eligible to claim certain payments, as well as helping with your application.

Tackling anti-social behaviour in our communities
Our Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Team deals with occupation contract breaches and anti-social behaviour relating to Council owned homes throughout Carmarthenshire.
This includes:
- Property damage
- Pets and animal nuisance
- Neighbour disputes
- Illegal activities including drugs
- Verbal abuse/threatening behaviour/harassment/intimidation
As well providing help and advice, the ASB Team will take legal action to prevent nuisance and protect homes and communities.
Please record the time and date of any incidents and include this in your report to help the team identify offenders and locate relevant CCTV footage where available.

Penyfan and Llwynwhilwg Tenants and Residents Association
Penyfan and Llwynwhilwg Tenants and Residents Association (PLTRA) in Llanelli is the voice of tenants and residents living in the area, with meetings held every six weeks.
Run by volunteers and providing support and information, the Association also holds four community events every year (Easter, summer, Halloween and Christmas).

Fire safety in your home
Having your home’s boiler serviced regularly is also an important safety requirement. We must carry out an annual boiler service to every Council owned home as well as regular electrical safety testing. If you are unable to make the appointment provided, please let us know.
Westward carry out boiler servicing on the Council’s behalf.
