Free half term fun at Llanelli Goods Shed
Llanelli Goods Shed has plenty of free activities on offer throughout half term!

Friday 28 February - Magpies 50+ group, 11am

Friday 28 February - Golau Baptist Church Renewal Space, 1pm-3pm
Friday 28 February – cycling skills,10am – 2pm
Building new homes for local people
Last summer, we started the tender process to find a partner to deliver the next phase of the Transforming Tyisha project.
The process is progressing well and will continue throughout 2025 while we discuss proposals with potential partners to ensure we provide what the community needs.
We are seeking a development partner to deliver quality, modern and energy e‑efficient housing, while retaining the character of Tyisha’s rich heritage. We also want to ensure that these developments are sustainable for the future as well as improving the environment through landscaping, suitable waste provisions and storage.
The tender brief includes five key sites. These are:
S1 - Lakefield School
S2 - Former FourTys site
S3 - Copperworks School
S4 - Clos Sant Paul
S5 - Train station car park
We will keep you updated as the process progresses.

Evening patrols across Tyisha
Tyisha’s Community Wardens are patrolling Tyisha in the evenings and on weekends in partnership with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner to identify local environment quality and anti-social behaviour issues such as littering, dog fouling and fly-tipping.
Please tell us if there are any hotspot areas that we should target.

St Paul's Family Centre
St Paul’s Family Centre offer baby and toddler groups, language and play activities and Flying Start sessions for children 0-11 years during term time and school holidays.

Playing out in Tyisha
Come along to Street Play at Paddock Street Hall from 2.30pm – 4.30pm on 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 March!
Street Play gives families the opportunity to use outdoor space, connect and play. Kit for games, messy play and creativity is provided!

Support available from CETMA
CETMA Llanelli is a business and community hub that offers a range of community focussed initiatives including the Llanelli LGBTQ+ Support Group and Fairtrade Llanelli.
Based at 105 Station Road, CETMA is open Monday to Thursday, 10am-5pm and Friday, 12pm-5pm.
Llanelli Christmas Carnival 2024
Organisations, schools and community groups from Tyisha came together to take part in Llanelli Christmas Carnival with a float and lantern parade.
In preparation for the carnival, pupils from Ysgol Pen Rhos and Bigyn Primary School created lanterns during workshops held by Carmarthenshire Council’s Transforming Tyisha Team and People Speak Up.
Thanks to everyone who came together to make the float a success including the Transforming Tyisha Team, Once Upon A Time day nursery, St Paul's Family Centre, Bigyn Primary School, Ysgol Pen Rhos and People Speak Up.
