Growing up in a foster family with Amy
Amy's journey of growing up in a foster family is a heartfelt reminder of how fostering changes lives - not just for the children and young people in care, but also for their families.
Eight years ago, her family welcomed a little boy with complex needs in their home, forming a bond that has become unbreakable.
Fostering has left such a lasting impression on Amy that she's already considering it for her own future.
Carmarthenshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services and Children and Families, Cllr. Jane Tremlett, praised families like Amy's who make such a difference.

We launched our 'Bring Something to the Table' campaign, highlighting the incredible support network behind our foster carers.
Whether you're thinking about fostering, are already fostering, or work within the social care sector - everyone has a role to play.
In Carmarthenshire alone, there are 148 children in foster care, while many more foster carers are still needed to meet the growing demand.

The power of mentor led support groups
One of the ways we support our foster carers is through our mentor led support groups.
These sessions offer a space to connect, share experiences, and get guidance from foster carers who've been there themselves.
It's all about helping you feel supported, confident, and part of a community that truly understands the ups and downs of fostering.

Therapeutic support for foster carers
At Foster Wales Carmarthenshire, we offer therapeutic support to help our foster carers understand and manage the needs of the children and young people in their care.
Our Emotional Health Team provides expert guidance, designed to build stronger relationships.
Hear from Karon, our Senior Education Psychologist Behaviour, as she shares her insights and expertise.

This holiday season the most meaningful gifts aren't wrapped in paper or tied with ribbons - they're the ones that provide love, stability, and hope.
When you become a foster carer, you're giving a child the gift of a safe, loving home that can change their life forever.
Give a gift that lasts all year. Become a foster carer now.
