Tourist Ambassadors celebrated at County Hall
Hosted by Cllr Hazel Evans, the County Council’s Cabinet member for Regeneration, Leisure and Tourism, 40 bronze level Tourism Ambassadors were officially awarded their certificate in County Hall.
The scheme has proved popular to help boost local spend and linger time from visitors and all tourism and hospitality businesses are encouraged to join. Its free, modules are varied and can be completed online.

FREE seminar for Community Event organisers
After feedback from event organisers, a free 2-hr workshop in which a leading industry expert talks through requirements to effectively plan and manage a community event in the County has been arranged for 19 September. No matter how big or small your event is, this session is for those seeking to improve their understanding and planning. |

Autumn Marketing update
Marketing activities to boost awareness of the County in the next few months include the visit of 5 travel writers and digital influencers including those from the Lonely Planet and a top dog friendly blogger, ongoing digital advertising with 3 cycling sector magazines, a partnership with the UK’s Civil Service staff magazine and its ¼ million readership, radio sponsorship across Carmarthenshire and Wales as well as targeted digital advertising through Google, Facebook and YouTube.

Marketing campaign announced for 2025
‘Croeso’ i bawb! / A warm Welsh ‘Welcome!’ is the Visit Wales campaign theme for 2025 and have asked Council officers to pull together a list of new and exciting things happening in the County to be included in the marketing. Get in touch on any new accommodation and restaurant openings or events, experiences and trails for example.

Spaces available for September Tourism business roadshow
Meet with Council officers from tourism development, waste and recycling, licensing and business support in bookable, one on one sessions on Wednesday 18 September at the Memorial Hall, Whitland. The event is free to attend, slots available on a first come first served basis and you decide which officers you want to meet and chat with.
