Book now for next Tourism Business Roadshow

Bookings are now open for our next Tourism & Business Roadshow, on 18th July in Llansteffan. 20 minute one on one sessions are available on a first come first served basis with various council officers from tourism development, licencing, business, and recycling.

Also on view are updates on the improvement work for Llansteffan North Green Car Park, which is being supported by Welsh Government’s Brilliant Basics funding.

Become a Gold Carmarthenshire Ambassador

The fourth and final Carmarthenshire gold module Sustainability is now live allowing you to achieve Gold level Ambassador status. Since launching in 2023, over 400 people have become Ambassadors at either bronze or silver levels, learning more about their county and helping to improve tourism information and local spend.

Marketing update

We have arranged several visits from magazines and travel influencers in the last month with specialist itineraries pulled together to showcase the tourism offer. See the details of their visit via Instagram and thank you to the many local businesses who worked with us. This was supported by targeted digital advertising, which reached over 2million people in the last 2 months

New Days Out visitor guide now available

Visitors stay longer and spend more when they have easy access to relevant information. Our official A5 visitor guide lists over 200 different things to do and see in the County as well as providing a giant map.

80,000 copies of the Guide are now being distributed for Summer to support attractions and make it easier for accommodation providers to provide helpful information to their guests. Copies can be picked from the Council’s Hwb centres in Carmarthen, Ammanford and Llanelli town centres. If you would like to be part of Autumn and winter guide please email Sarah.

FREE advertising with Radio Carmarthenshire & Discover Carmarthenshire

An extensive on-air radio sponsorship has been arranged with Radio Carmarthenshire to promote things to do, places to go and events targeting and their monthly (34,000) listeners. To be considered, make sure you have taken advantage of the free event or business advert listing on the Discover Carmarthenshire website.

Business Events update

Having represented the County at a National meeting last month (Meet in Wales) to attract business events such as Associations, Team Building, corporate and incentive business from outside of Wales into Wales, Council officers now wish to ensure local operators are aware and introduced to opportunities from Visit Wales and funding from Visit Britain. Support includes product listings, attendance at shows, funding, featured news items and PR.

New circular walks launched in Carmarthenshire

In partnership with the Wales Coast Path and Paddy Dillon, a new collection of circular walks were launched last month. A circular walk is a great way to experience the Carmarthenshire coastline and provide inspiring views and new perspectives without having to double back or use public transport.
