Come and meet us at the next Tourism & Business roadshow
After strong feedback from the businesses that attended the recent roadshow events in Llanelli and Newcastle Emlyn, further slots are now available for the next two roadshow events with the opportunity to meet with County Council tourism development officers, covering all aspects of the sector from licencing, planning and grants plus business and marketing support. Sessions are bookable in advance and available one on one or in a group.
We’d love to meet you at either Ammanford (1 February) or Carmarthen (5th March)

“Cwtch Up” Marketing Campaign
Increasing the awareness of the county as an attractive place to visit involves a planned set of marketing activities throughout the year, using social media advertising, public relations and linking into Visit Wales. The “Cwtch up in Carmarthenshire” guide targets a large audience post Christmas seeking a winter short break by popularising the term ‘cwtch’.
Thank you to the many businesses taking part across the 10 themed breaks including places to stay, eat and explore, stargazing to coastal cwtches. The work is being supported by the UK Government’s Levelling up fund.

Cawl Crawl Marketing update
To capitalise on national awareness of St David’s Day, we have successfully used as a sales hook the “Cawl Crawl” to gain coverage and awareness. Visitors are encouraged to venture on a tour of the county’s best cawl spots, a dish synonymous with Welsh cuisine and hospitality, promoting how good the county is at making this authentic dish and promoting some of the quality pubs, cafes, and restaurants around the county.
If you are an authentic independent establishment who has a good ‘story’ behind their Cawl to tell (such as Gin inspired and laverbread infused cawl!), contact Sarah

New County tourism wall map now available.
After being showcased as a centre piece at the new Caban facility in Pendine, several accommodation providers asked whether they too could use the artistic visitor map of the County for their properties. It’s a striking visual asset to showcase the County to guests and we are delighted to share the artwork on request.

Carmarthenshire local access forum
Our Countryside team have launched a new website showing all the registered Public Rights of Way in the county, highlighting recently improved paths as well as notifications of temporary closures. It also allows you to report problems on routes. The County Council countryside and tourism team work with the local access forum to ensure the promoted routes are marketed.
