Calling all businesses
|
Tasked with raising the awareness of the County across the UK as a visitor destination, we target travel writers and journalists across the media {from the Guardian, Telegraph to the Sun newspapers to magazines including Countryfile, Waitrose and fashion bible Elle} with stories and ideas that will lead us to being featured.
New and Weird is great! New events, new menus, new openings, new launches, new projects etc – if it’s NEW we would like to hear about it. Weirdness is excellent for media work. Anything kind of freaky going on in Carmarthenshire we would love to know about! What defines weird I don’t really know – we kind of know it when we see it!

New law update 1 | Non-domestic premises recyclable materials
From April 2024, it will become law in Wales for all businesses, charities, and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling. It also applies to all waste and recycling collectors and processors who manage household-like waste from workplaces and events such as festivals, concerts and shows.
The Welsh Government is introducing this law to improve the quality and quantity of how we collect and separate waste.

New law update 2 | Single-use plastic products
|
|
Single use plastic products often litter our parks, streets and beaches with County Council resources then used to pick them up and dispose. A new Welsh Government law will make it a criminal offence to supply or offer to supply (including for free) certain single-use plastic products to consumers in Wales. |
