DR taxi's catch a ride to become a tourism ambassador 

As one of the first people a visitor might  meet, the County’s taxi drivers are important components in where someone goes, enjoys, and spends money. Ethan Jones of Llanelli’s DR Taxi’s has now upped his local knowledge by becoming Carmarthenshire’s first taxi driver to become a Tourism Ambassador.

New Autumn promotional video available

Capturing the best of the County at this time of the year, a new promotional video has been produced and is being marketed across the Discover Carmarthenshire websites and social media platforms as well as targeted advertising using Google and Facebook. Get it on your websites now 

Local tourism projects awarded £1/2m funding 

£488,000 has been secured from Welsh Government’s Brilliant Basics tourism fund for improvements at Llansteffan Beach and Carmarthenshire Museum respectively as part of a wider £610,000 investment from the County Council. Local amenities often go unnoticed but are a key part of a visitor’s experience and benefit those who live in the area. Key visitor attractions awarded Green Flags 

We are delighted to announce that Pembrey Country Park, Llyn Llech Owain, and, for the first time, Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park have all been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award for 2023/24. This award is internationally recognised as the mark of quality for publicly accessible parks and green spaces around the world.

Word famous painting comes to local attraction

'Tobias and the Angel' is opening this Saturday 9 September at Carmarthenshire Museum! Come and see the wonderful third and final exhibition of the National Gallery Masterpiece Tour partnership, generously supported by the National Gallery, London. This beautiful painting, from the workshop of Andrea del Verrocchio, will be on show with free entry until 7 January 2024.
