The fun at our "Play in the Park" events has taken a hit from the lousy weather we're having. However, we're crossing our fingers for some sunshine for our last two dates at Waunfawr Park on 24 August and Blackwood Showfield on 29 August. If you can make it, why not pop along and join in the fun!
Full details about dates and locations are available on Dewis here

Did you know, many children stammer whilst they are learning to talk. This might sound like repeating sounds, making sounds longer or getting completely stuck. Most children who stammer as a young child go on to speak fluently and it’s really important to not draw attention to any ‘bumpy’ talking – instead focus on keeping the conversation going and enjoying chatting together. There are lots of ways you can support your child, including:
- Focus on what they have said, not how they said it
- Be patient
- Let the child finish their own sentences
- Slow down your own talking
- Don’t use words like good/bad to describe talking
- Have 1:1 time doing something fun your child enjoys in a quiet space
More information about stammering is available here: What is stammering and how can I help my child with their stammer? - BBC Tiny Happy People
