Following the recent Welsh Government announcement, the areas eligible for Flying Start childcare are expanding from April 2023. In Caerphilly, almost half of the borough will be eligible for Flying Start childcare.
We are urging all childcare providers to attend our information session on Monday 23rd January 2023 at 6.30 pm via Microsoft Teams.
Please note that this session is for both current Flying Start providers (those on the DPS) and those who wish to apply to offer Flying Start childcare places.
This session will address the following subjects:
- Overview of the Caerphilly Early Years and Childcare Service
- The ‘Childcare Placement in the Non-maintained Sector’ Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) – How you join us to offer Flying Start childcare places
- Flying Start Childcare Expansion April 2023 – to cover 50% of the borough – this will be publicly advertised on the 01/02/2023, find out here first!
- New Flying Start Childcare Application Process – For parents and providers
- Funded Childcare Placement Process (Assisted Places)
- Additional Support for children with emerging and complex needs
