Caerphilly County Borough Council are pleased to announce that although the Caerphilly Big Cheese Festival cannot take place in its usual format this year, due to development works taking place in Caerphilly Castle, an alternative event will take place in 2022, the Caerphilly Little Cheese Festival!

On 3rd and 4th September, Caerphilly Little Cheese Festival will take place in Caerphilly town centre forming a music event with a number of music areas throughout Cardiff Road and Castle Court Shopping Centre, as well as a central stage in Twyn Car Park.

The event will be host to local and headline musicians along with numerous food and drink stalls. There will also be music workshops, craft sessions and small funfair rides for the children.

Blackwood Beach Party

Caerphilly County Borough Council and Blackwood Town Council are pleased to announce that Blackwood Beach Party is coming to town!

On Saturday 10th September Blackwood High Street will be transformed into an urban beach party with plentiful sand, deckchairs and buckets and spades to keep the whole family entertained.

A large number of funfair rides will bring life to the one end of the high street with stalls, attractions and a giant beach taking over the other end! 


Hope Rescue’s Barking Mad Dog Show returns to Llancaiach Fawr

Barking Mad Dog Show

The Barking Mad Dog Show will return for its annual event at Llancaiach Fawr on Saturday 27th August at 11am.

The show helps raise funds for Hope Rescue, a charity which seeks to improve the welfare of dogs of all ages and breeds.

Attendance at the event is £1.50 for adults and £1 for children/concessions. Cash only.

Entry for dogs into the classes will then cost £2 each per class or attendees can pay £10 for all inclusive, these can be bought either on the day or before the event via the Hope Rescue website.
