The Scheme will be made up of 2 elements; a main scheme (related to certain council tax payers) and a discretionary scheme (no firm details on this yet).
The main scheme will involve a £150 ‘Cost of Living’ payment for council tax payers living in properties bands A to D, and all council tax payers who are in receipt of Council Tax Reduction (formerly known as council tax benefit), regardless of what band their property is in (A to I).
If you have recently set up a direct debit instruction to pay your council tax bill, we will collect your first council tax direct debit payment before we issue you with the £150 ‘Cost-of-Living’ payment. This is to ensure that the bank details we hold for you are correct and to minimise fraud and error.

From the 12th - 14th April, between 9:30am and 15:30pm, we’ll be working on the Pwll-y-Pant Roundabout, Caerphilly carrying out emergency investigatory work to the clean water pipe.
Our team will stop works during the Easter bank holiday (15th -18th April) and return to complete their investigations from the 19th - 21st April.
Due to the location of the work, we will need to close one lane of the roundabout closest to Pwll-Y-Pant Village Hall, Caerphilly between the hours of work to ensure motorists and our workforce remain safe at all time.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this work and improve our network for future generations.
