Stapleford Skatepark opening

We’re still buzzing about our Stapleford Skatepark opening at the weekend.
It was a hive of activity with over 100 people joining in the celebrations, opened by Deputy Lieutenant Nick Rubins, with attendees including Broxtowe Mayor Councillor Robert Bullock, Juliet Campbell MP and representatives from Broxtowe Borough Council, Stapleford Town Council and the Stapleford Towns Fund Board.
Skate Nottingham CIC ran a hugely popular programme of activities including free skateboarding coaching for all ages and abilities, a Women and Girls All Wheeled Jam, and an Open jam for skateboarders, inline and quad skaters and BMX.
Skate Nottingham will be running a series of 17 free coaching sessions through the spring and summer, including weekly sessions through the school holidays, a number of which are specifically for women and girls. Skateboards and helmets will be available for free to use in all sessions. Times and dates can be found at www.skatenottingham.co.uk
