Providing a Lifeline
Our Lifeline Service is available for all residents of the Borough, providing round the clock support and linked to a Control Centre who can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Ideal for those who want the comfort of knowing you can call for support whilst still living in your own home. The Lifeline unit plugs straight into a telephone socket and includes a discreet alarm you can wear as a pendant or wristband.
With no price increase this year, it remains as little as £4.13 a week.

Supporting Communities Through Dialogue
Broxtowe Mediation Partnership offers a free, confidential, and impartial service to help residents resolve conflicts and improve relationships within the community.
Mediation is a way to resolve issues when there is a disagreement between parties. It is a voluntary process held by a neutral person (a 'mediator'). The mediator is impartial; they do not take sides. It often involves individual meetings followed by a joint session.
The types of issues they can help with are
- Neighbour disputes (e.g. noise, boundaries, trees/hedges, parking)
- Family and intergenerational conflicts
- Antisocial behaviour and community tensions
- Communication breakdowns between residents
The benefits of mediation are that it prevents escalation of conflict, reduces stress and improves wellbeing. Moreover by focussing on understanding, cooperation and practical solutions it can avoid the need for formal complaints or legal action.
Together, we support people across Broxtowe who are experiencing conflict, whether at home, in the community, or with neighbours. By helping them find a way forward through open, respectful conversation.
If you would like to make a referral (including self referral) contact Broxtowe Mediation Partnership via 01773 768363 or mediation@ca-centralnotts.org.uk

Staying Fire Safe
It’s summer and that means it’s BBQ time!
We all love a good BBQ, a time to get together and enjoy each other’s company and good food. So, here are some top tips to stay safe whilst barbequing:
• Set your barbeque upon level ground away from bushes, trees, and property. • Never leave a barbeque unattended and make sure they have cooled down once you have finished cooking • Keep a bucket of water or sand to hand • Be mindful of the impact of smoke and noise on neighbours

Plastic Free July
Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.
Being plastic free isn't just about buying a reusable cup or bag though, it's giving people the tools to change their habits and think how we as individuals can reduce our reliance on plastic.
