Futures - Support Towards Employment
Futures offers a programme of employment advice and support, aimed at people who are currently economically inactive but who are interested in getting into work.
Through one-to-one meetings in your local community or home, group workshops and online sessions, your adviser will help you to:
- Develop important life skills.
- Access learning to complete courses and gain qualifications.
- Find sustainable volunteering and employment opportunities.
- Understand and access the benefits system.
- Learn about further support offered by other services.

This platform is here to support individuals to find work and training opportunities which enable them to return to the workplace or education in a way that suits them.
Businesses can use the platform free of charge until 31 March 2025 and it will put their vacancies in front of local jobseekers. The local focus of the portal means that finding the right candidate for the job should be easier. Businesses can also find out about the business support services available to them.

FREE business support available through the Broxtowe Accelerator
Broxtowe Accelerator is designed to help businesses across Broxtowe to start, sustain, grow and innovate. Businesses can book a place on any of the range of events taking place across the East Midlands.
Access to the Accelerator Training Workshops and Events are fully funded, so are FREE to attend and open to businesses located in eligible UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) areas. Details about eligibility can be found on the D2N2 website.
The project is led by East Midlands Chamber and funded through a proportion of the Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund allocation. The project, which runs until 31 March 2025, offers support to all businesses across the Borough, with added support for high-growth and scaling businesses looking to innovate.
