Help us serve our communities in our Budget Consultation

We want your help to shape our budget

There’s lots of significant projects taking place in the Borough which will shape the local area for the future, from the regeneration of town centres, to reducing our carbon footprint to tackle climate change. How we continue to support these and other initiatives in the ongoing cost of living crisis needs real input from local people.

Please share your thoughts so that we can consider your input as we look to fulfil the needs of our communities in the right way through next year’s budget proposals.

Stapleford Community Group continues its support for Shoe-Aid

The Helpful Bureau

Stapleford Community Group has continued its support for Shoe-Aid by adding new donation points, including the latest at Stapleford Town Council.

In a further boost to the initiative, The Helpful Bureau has now also accepted a donation box, joining the growing list of local businesses and organisations partnering with the Stapleford Community Group to support Shoe-Aid.

Shoe-Aid, a UK charity that tackles footwear poverty and landfill waste, redistributes donated shoes to people in need both in the UK and abroad. With millions of shoes going to waste each year, initiatives like these make a significant impact by ensuring shoes that might otherwise end up in landfills are instead given to those who need them.

Residents can now donate at the following local locations:

  • The Co-Op, Hickings Lane, Stapleford
  • Old Mill Club, Mill Road, Stapleford
  • Stapleford Town Council, Warren Avenue, Stapleford
  • The Helpful Bureau, Derby Road, Stapleford
  • The Co-Op, Market Place, Derby Road, Sandiacre
  • The Plough Inn, Town Street, Sandiacre
  • The Bridge Sandiacre
  • Longmore Lane, Sandiacre

For more information on how to donate, or to get involved, visit one of the donation points or contact the Stapleford Community Group.
