Save the dates in November for a wonderful start to Christmas. The much loved Christmas Lights Switch On events are returning and are a must for all the family.
Residents can enjoy Christmas stalls, community groups, street entertainment, food, fair rides, face painting, live music and more. Santa will also be back to meet children in his Christmas Grotto, with the return of accessible sensory sessions and walk-in sessions.
The events will include a spectacular firework display as a finale.
Wall insulation project helps reduce energy expenses for local Broxtowe Homes
Works have been progressing to install wall insulation to 84 properties across Broxtowe, with the majority being located on Princes and Wellington Street in Eastwood, an area of conservation known for their Victorian terraced housing.
Cricket club bowled over by Shared Prosperity Fund grant for new equipment
Broxtowe Borough Council’s grant award of £5,189 to Attenborough Cricket Club means they can expand to meet demand from their women and junior players as well as other club members.
The club has purchased new pitch covers and additional batting cages that will improve the capacity of their pitch at The Strand. The covers will protect the new hybrid surface and the existing grass square. The grant was made possible through the UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF) from the UK Government.
