Be heard in Broxtowe’s Budget Consultation
Broxtowe Borough Council has launched its annual budget survey, asking local residents, businesses and community and voluntary organisations to share their thoughts on Council services and how they think the budget should be spent.
To have their say, local people can complete the online survey until 19 November 2024. There is also a chance to win one of six £50 Love2Shop vouchers for all participants who wish to enter a prize draw.
The survey asks for views on the wide range of services provided by the Council, including housing, waste and recycling, health, leisure, business support and more, as well as suggestions on how to increase income, reduce costs to help balance the budget.
Councillor Greg Marshall is here to tell you more about this consultation in the video above.
Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund grant will make Beeston shine for Light Night III in 2025
Mark your calendars! With the theme of ‘Poetry and Fire’, Beeston Light Night III will be on Saturday 25 January 2025 and will be a spectacular way to beat the winter blues and enjoy light installations and performances. It coincides with Burns Night and will have nods to Scotland, beginning with the Address to a Haggis in the Square and a bagpiper playing with Nottingham Samba Band.

Book your tickets for Gin and Gaslight before it's too late!
The hugely popular Gin and Gaslight event is back!
The next event on Friday 18 October will give guests a taste of Victorian decadence with a chance to learn about and sample several gins, whilst experiencing the award-winning D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum at night.
On arrival guests will be greeted by their Victorian hosts with an aperitif before taking in the magic of the museum and its historic rooms and exhibitions by gas light.
There are just a few tickets left, so don't delay in booking your place.
