Gin and Gaslight at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum
Friday 18 October, 7pm - 9pm, The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum, Eastwood, NG16 3AW.
Tickets are still on sale for the extremely popular Gin and Gaslight events! Guests will have the chance to learn about and sample a variety of gins, experiencing a taste of Victorian luxury while exploring this award-winning museum at night fall.
Victorian hosts will greet the guests with an aperitif, before experiencing all the historic rooms the museum has to offer by gas light, creating a magical experience for all in attendance. While it is not a requirement, turning up in Victorian costume is celebrated!

Broxtowe Remembrance Parade
Sunday 10 November, 10:45am at Beeston War Memorial, NG9 1GJ.
The annual Broxtowe Borough Remembrance Parade will take place on Sunday 10 November from 10:45am at the Beeston War Memorial off Middle Street. All residents are welcome to attend the service.
Please be aware that there will be road closures in place.

Our Christmas Light Switch On events are back for 2024 with lots of festive cheer and something for all the family, events will be taking place across the Borough on:

Eastwood, 5:30pm - 8pm, Eastwood Square, NG16 3GB and Victoria Street NG16 3AW.

Beeston, 12pm - 6:30pm, Beeston Square, NG9 2JG.

Beeston Wildlife Group Talk: Bird Ringing with Mark Grantham
Monday 14 October - Trent Vale Infant School, Trent Road, Beeston Rylands, Nottingham NG9 1LP, 7:30pm - 9:30pm.
Mark Grantham works for the British Trust for Ornithology in Cornwall. He will be running a interesting session about bird migration, local bird movement and how long birds live. Adults pay £4 at the door, children enter for free.

Tuesday 15 October - Lombardy Lodge, Toton, NG9 6EE (11am - 1pm).
Visit our Independent Living schemes this October to see what they can offer you, your family or friends. Get the opportunity to tour the scheme, meet tenants and discuss how to apply with Officers. There will be stalls present from various agencies and community groups sharing information regarding the support they can offer in the local area.
Children's Halloween Party
Saturday 26 October - Early party: 4pm - 6pm, Late party: 6:30pm - 8:30pm - Kettlebrook Lodge, Eastwood Road, Kimberley, NG16 2HX.
Kimberley Town Council are hosting a Spooktacular Halloween party for kids aged 10 and under. Enjoy games, music, fancy dress and a thrilling haunted hollow. Tickets are 50p and available from the Kimberley Town Council office located at the Kimberley Institute Cricket Club open from 11am - 2pm Monday - Friday (under 3's free).
Beeston Royal British Legion 2024 Poppy Launch
Friday 1 November, 16 Hall Croft, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 1EL, 8:00pm (7:30pm doors open).
Join the Royal British Legion for their annual official Poppy launch event in Beeston. The Mayor of Broxtowe Councillor Sue Paterson will also be in attendance to hand out the first poppies of 2024. Entry to the event is free, and there will be music and entertainment provided all night from The Country Cowboys, Tony French and Clare Thursfield, covering a wide range of genres to cater for all.
