Construction work begins on Stapleford’s state-of-the-art £7.5m Community Pavilion
Construction work on a new £7.5m Community Pavilion on the Hickings Lane Recreation Ground in Stapleford has begun.
The pavilion will be a state-of-the-art, multi-use building, with a recreation and sports ground, that will replace some of the town’s out-of-date community facilities.
Due to open in 2025, it will bring local community groups together under one roof as a central hub for people of all ages to meet, learn, play, dance and keep fit.
The annual canvass is underway!

Residents will receive an email and letter as the annual canvass gets underway.
The email will ask if your household’s details on the electoral register are correct. All you need to do is follow the instructions, and you’ll be ready to have your say in upcoming elections.
This email will be sent from Broxtowe Borough Council Electoral Services so keep an eye out for it hitting your inbox.
Parks and Open Spaces Survey closes today
Today is the final day you can contribute to the Parks and Open Spaces survey.
To help shape improvements for your parks, make sure to take part before the end of the day.
Don't see a park you'd like to comment on? The selection of parks in the survey is determined through a regular cycle which ensures all of the Council’s sites are surveyed over the course of three years.
The survey closes today.
