Wellbeing Walk
Tuesday February 6 2024, 10:00am - 12:00pm, D.H Lawrence Birthplace Museum, NG16 3AW
Don't miss the first Wellbeing Walk of the year. Enjoy a stroll along a local beautiful trail in Eastwood. The moderately hilly circular walking route is around 3.4 km long and will lead you to the old Greasley Beauvale D.H. Lawrence Primary School where Lawrence attended. It will be followed by a coffee and a chat at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum. Free and no booking required.

Build your own wind turbine to power a light, or raise a lift in this workshop exploring the future of energy. There will be five 45-minutues workshops during the day. Suitable for all ages and booking is essential.

The Egg Drop Challenge
Wednesday and Saturday February 14 and 17 2024, 11:00am - 3:00pm, Bennerley Viaduct, DE7 8PX
Bennerley Viaduct stands 20 meters above the beautiful Erewash Valley. But would an egg survive the drop? Flex your scientific skills and create the best parachute to save your egg! Drop-in activity, arrive any time but booking is advised.

Join University of Nottingham scientist and researcher Dr Pearl Agyakwa to explore the wonderful world of paper through creative activities. Since it is also Valentine’s Day, you will get crafty with paper to make a special gift for a loved one. Suitable for all ages. There are morning and afternoon sessions available. Booking is essential.

The Mayor's All That Jazz Charity Dinner
Friday 22 March 2024, 6:00pm - 10:30pm, Beeston Youth and Community Centre, NG9 1GL
Join the Mayor for a tempo-rary evening escape to her “All That Jazz” charity dinner, in aid of the Broxtowe Community Fund. Tickets includes a three-course dinner and entertainment provided by the Nottingham’s ever-popular, all-female Swing Band, Shell’s Belles with jazz singer Jeanie Barton. There will also be a charity raffle.

The Broxtowe Borough Council Annual Events Programme 2024
Planning is underway for the annual events programme, with lots of exciting events including the Hemlock Happening, Playdays, Friday 18 Live Music, The Green Festival and the Christmas Lights Switch On events later in the year.
