Major incident declared in Nottinghamshire due to flooding

Stoke Lane

A major incident has been declared along the River Trent in Nottinghamshire due to flooding and the risk of further flooding caused by Storm Henk.

Nottinghamshire and Nottingham Local Resilience Forum has taken the decision due to rising river levels along the River Trent, which is yet to peak.

Weather warnings remain in place for Nottinghamshire, including a flood alert for Beeston Lock and Marina.

This means if you haven't already done so, you should prepare and act now. Information on what to do in a flood warning is available on the UK Government website.

You can find more advice on how to prepare for a flood and what to do if you have been affected by flooding on our website.
