A bid for a £20m boost to Eastwood was submitted to Government on Tuesday, as part of the Levelling Up Fund.

''It's great to see such a strong bid going in for Eastwood. For too long Eastwood has been neglected, this money would be a game changer,'' said Lee Anderson, MP for Ashfield, which also covers part of Broxtowe, including Eastwood.

“It has been many years since Eastwood has seen any real investment and local people deserve to have better facilities and opportunities at their doorstep."

Changes to Reporting Environmental Issues

Over the last few months we have been aware that residents have been experiencing issues when reporting environmental issues through our Love Broxtowe platform.

Our team have been busy working to provide an alternative that is fit for purpose and that provides the best customer experience possible. Therefore, on Monday 8th August our Love Broxtowe platform will be shut down and you will be able to report an environmental issue such as dog fouling or fly-tipping through our new online form.

Through our new form you will still be able to:

  • Pin your report on a map
  • Add a description
  • Upload a photo
  • Get a reference number when you have submitted your report
  • Get an update when your report has been closed, or if we require any further information from you

The form will be available on our website on Monday, and we will also be sharing this across our social media channels.

Are you dog safe? Follow the Dog Safety Code

dog safety

In order to help dog owners and families across Broxtowe to stay safe around dogs this summer, the Canine and Feline Sector Group (CFSG) are encouraging people to follow the Dog Safety Code.

The Dog Safety Code covers three vital messages:

  • Be alert – always keep an eye on your dog around children. Never leave them alone together.
  • Be aware – dogs use signals to tell us how they feel – what is your dog telling you?
  • Be safe – any dog can bite. Accidents happen fast.
